In 'Villa Zuid-Afrika’ Kathleen Aerts is following her dream of opening an idyllic guesthouse in her homeland, South Africa.
Kathleen Aerts didn't lose her heart in a discotheque, as she once sang, but rather to South Africa. Several years ago, together with her husband Steven and their two sons, Lewis and Jay, she exchanged rainy Belgium for the vast nature and radiant landscapes of the Cape Winelands. They built their dream house and opened a successful travel agency. However, busy bees Kathleen and Steven, as they say in their previous home base of the Belgian Kempen, ‘don't have a sitting bottom’ (aka ‘they have ants in their pants’). So the couple decides to fulfill a long-held dream: opening their own guesthouse.
In addition to following the quest for the perfect guesthouse, viewers also get an exclusive glimpse into the lives of the flamboyant and sometimes emotional Kathleen, the rational and hardworking Steven, and their two adorable sons. And also Tiger and Leopard, their two cats, and of course ‘retired police dog’ Vili.
